Performances and projects
Operational performance
Equipment maintenance, associated logistics and spare parts tracking are essential to GMP’s performance. Dedicated teams are engaged on a daily basis to provide both operating assistance and equipment maintenance. The aim is to guarantee a maximum equipment availability 24/7.
To reach this, GMP deploys multi-skilled teams which are constantly trained and adapted to improvements of the equipments.
On-going extensions
Extended maritime operating area as a result of the extension of Terminal de France on Port 2000
In 2018, GMP won the service concession for berths 11 & 12 at Port 2000 and will have access to the yard in 2023 with operations scheduled to begin in January 2030.
These two berths will supply GMP with:
- An additional 24.5 hectares to support GMP’s growth
- An additional 350 meters of dock space, allowing for the simultaneous handling of three ships
- An increase in TDF capacity of +900 KTeus per year
- An investment program for additional handling equipment: 4 new gantry cranes and 12 hybrid straddle carriers
- Optimization of traffic flows at the TDF rail terminal thanks to the turning track
- An expansion of the road gate to 3,100 appointments per day
- A reserved area with a dedicated river quay to ensure the reliability of the modal shift
